Before you start
You need a YouTube channel on your Google account. If you only have a Google account but no channel yet, create one first at youtube.com (Sign in → Create a channel). Hookle can't connect a Google account that has no channel.
Connect YouTube
- Open Hookle and navigate to Settings → Social Accounts → Add Account
- Select YouTube
- Sign in with Google and choose the account that owns your channel. If your channel is a Brand Account, make sure to pick the brand channel in the account list - not your personal account
- Allow the requested permissions (Hookle asks to upload videos to your channel and to view your channel's stats - both are needed to publish and show your results)
- That's it! Your channel now appears in your social accounts
Publishing to YouTube from Hookle
- YouTube posts always need a video - image-only posts can't be published to YouTube
- The first line of your text becomes the video title, and the rest becomes the description
- Vertical videos automatically become YouTube Shorts - no separate steps needed
Multiple channels
You can connect multiple YouTube channels to Hookle and manage them simultaneously - no need to disconnect one channel to add another.
Connected the wrong channel?
Disconnect the channel in Hookle, then connect YouTube again. In the Google sign-in screen, tap "Use another account" (or pick the correct brand channel from the list) and continue as above.
