Before you connect
Facebook allows only Facebook Pages to be connected to third-party apps, such as Hookle. Currently, personal Facebook Profiles, Facebook groups and Facebook Professional (Creator Profiles) cannot be connected.
Thus, you need to have or create a Page for your business under your Facebook Profile to connect it to Hookle. Tip: You can create as many pages as you want under your Facebook Profile and they're completely free!
Make sure that your Facebook has the Page role of Admin or Editor. You can do this on the Facebook Page or through Facebook Business Manager. See Manage Page Settings in the Facebook help center.
If someone else has given you an Admin role to a Page you need to accept the invitation by logging in to www.facebook.com on your computer as the invitation might not be visible in Facebook mobile.
Connect Facebook Page to Hookle
Open Hookle and navigate to Settings -> Social Accounts -> Add Account. Alternatively, you can click the blue floating button at the bottom right of this view to add an account.
Select Facebook. Then accept all desired permissions (Facebook will ask for certain permissions) and select the Facebook Page(s) you want to connect to Hookle.
Connect multiple Facebook (or check the used Facebook)
You can manage multiple Facebook accounts simultaneously in Hookle, so there's no need to disconnect existing accounts to add new ones from different Facebook profiles.
If you manage multiple Facebook profiles (e.g., as an agency or for various brands), you can check and switch between active profiles. This is because the browser used during the connection process retains only the most recent login credentials.
To switch Facebook accounts:
- Navigate to Settings > Social Accounts > Add Account.
- Click the three dots next to the Facebook button and select Check or Change FB Account.
- Log out of your current Facebook account in the browser.
- Log out of the Facebook app on your device as well.
- Return to Hookle and connect using the desired Facebook account.
Problems with connecting?
The browser might remember the credentials of your previously logged Facebook accounts. Thus, make sure you authenticate and reconnect accounts with the right credentials if you are using multiple different Facebook accounts. See the instructions above to check and change the used Facebook account.
